What is Start Young: Building a more involved Bluffdale?
Start Young: Building a more involved Bluffdale is ALL about getting the youth in our city more active in their community, city, and people around them! Having your voice be heard, learning more about your city, and being an active participant in your city makes our city great. The whole purpose of a city is to serve the people and make lifelong connections! If we make efforts to be involved now, we can create a city that we want, and that we feel proud about.
Why Starting Young Matters
As someone that has been a part of Bluffdale City Youth Council, being active when you are young is HUGE! You are laying the foundation for future involvement. If you learn about the city, ways you can be involved now, you can start to be an influence on your community NOW. It doesn't have to wait for the future, or be the adults that make an impact, you as a youth can make an impact by being involved in any way with the city, even if that's just getting a job at a local Bluffdale establishment.
My Role
As mentioned, the reason I created this website, was for my platform as a Ms. Bluffdale contestant. The biggest reason why I picked this was because of my involvement with Bluffdale City Youth Council and being the mayor of that. Through my involvement I've met incredible people I would have never met, and learned more about my city. I get to be a part of something with lasting impact, and I can already tell what a difference being involved has made on me. It's made such an impact that I want others to feel what I feel! Being involved is amazing and brings you so many benefits (I promise).
The goal
My goal for this website is to make a platform where people can learn about all the Bluffdale opportunities there are right here. I hope this is a place where you can easily find a way to be involved, and learn a little bit more about your city. Take a second to look around, see what interests you, and sign up for something! Many things are low commitment but reap huge benefits. There is always something out there that will fit you! My hope is that everyone on this page reading this can find something they want to join, be involved in, and keep being involved in. I hope this creates lifelong baits of involvement for the youth of Bluffdale City ;)
